Conscious hiking · Tenerife
Healing Hiking
Hikes across Tenerife that combine movement along the route with meditation, attention work, body-based and energy practices, and direct contact with nature.
This is not a sightseeing tour and not a sports hike focused on covering distance. The route becomes a space for practice — a chance to step out of your usual rhythm, feel your body and state more deeply, and become more present to the environment around you.
More than walking a route
The route as a space for practice
A hike already changes your state: the body starts moving, attention shifts, and the usual environment falls away.
In Healing Hiking, we use this consciously.
Walking is interwoven with pauses, silence, and practices. In one place, breathing and body awareness may be more important; in another, meditation, contact with the elements, or simply observing what is happening inside.
The point is not to keep “doing something” all the time. It is to create conditions in which nature, movement, and practice begin to work as one process.
Nature as part of the practice
Not a backdrop, but a space for interaction
Anaga is especially well suited to this format.
Laurel forests, mountain ridges, mist, wind, rocks, ocean, and abrupt changes in landscape continually shift the quality of perception.
In one place, it feels natural to stop and stay in silence. In another, to work with breathing and movement. Sometimes attention turns inward toward the body. Sometimes outward toward space, sound, wind, earth, or ocean.
I do not separate the practice from the place where it happens.
The exact route, duration, and physical intensity always depend on the specific HikingRoute / Event.
What Healing Hiking may include
Practices are chosen for the route and the process
The exact content depends on the route, the theme, the weather, and the state of the group.
- conscious walking;
- parts of the route in silence;
- breathing practices;
- meditation;
- attention and body-awareness work;
- simple energy practices;
- interaction with the elements and natural environment;
- free movement;
- pauses for observation and inner work;
- group reflection;
- time for personal experience and integration.
Not every hike will include all of these elements. The format stays alive and adapts to the route and the group.
How it works
A few hours outside your usual rhythm
Healing Hiking usually lasts several hours or most of a day.
The group is small.
Each event has its own route, duration, and level of physical intensity. Some may be relatively gentle walks with practices; others may be full mountain hikes.
Before joining, the specific Event page should clearly state:
- duration;
- start and finish points;
- route;
- difficulty level;
- what to bring;
- participation terms and price / donation, if defined.
Who it may be for
If you want to be in nature as more than a tourist
Healing Hiking may be especially relevant if you want to:
- step out of your usual urban or home context for a while;
- combine physical movement with inner practice;
- spend time in nature as more than a tourist;
- reset overloaded attention;
- reconnect with your body and state;
- experience meditation and energy practices outdoors;
- feel nature and your interaction with it more deeply;
- discover Tenerife from a different perspective.
Previous experience with meditation or energy practices is usually not required. Physical requirements depend on the specific route and should always be stated in advance.

FAQ
Do I need experience with meditation or energy practices?+
No. The format may include simple practices that are explained along the way. If a specific event requires prior experience or preparation, that must be stated on the Event page.
Do I need to be in good physical shape?+
It depends on the route. Every HikingRoute / Event should state the difficulty, duration, and main physical requirements.
Is this a Tenerife sightseeing tour?+
No. We may pass through beautiful and interesting places, but the purpose is not tourism. The route is used as a space for movement, attention, practice, and inner process.
How many people are in the group?+
The group is intended to be small. Any exact limit is stated in the specific Event.
Where do the hikes take place?+
In different parts of Tenerife, with Anaga being one of the key areas. The specific route is always published separately.
Can I come alone?+
Yes. The group format does not require you to come with a partner or friends.
What should I bring?+
It depends on the route and weather. Usually: suitable hiking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, water, a small backpack, sun protection, and wind protection. Exact requirements are published in the Event.
What happens in bad weather?+
Safety and actual trail conditions come first. An Event may be changed, postponed, or cancelled depending on weather and route conditions.
Sometimes a few hours outside your usual environment is enough
Move. Slow down. Look. Feel.
And allow the path itself to become part of the inner process.
